This tool was designed to enhance engagement and facilitate personalized product recommendations, both at points of sale (POS) and during beauty consultations.

How It Worked

  1. Skin Type Diagnosis:
    • Consumers used the Skin Type Test Tool, which reacted to sebum levels on their skin to identify their skin type: dry, normal, combination, or oily.
  2. Tailored Recommendations:
    • Based on the results, beauty consultants recommended Sephora’s skincare products enriched with wonder ingredients specifically designed to address each skin type’s unique needs.
  3. Consumer Engagement:
    • The tool served as an educational and engaging experience, allowing consumers to better understand their skin and its needs.
    • It also acted as a conversation starter for beauty advisors to share in-depth insights about Sephora’s skincare offerings.
  4. Multi-Country Activation:
    • The Skin Type Test Tool was deployed across Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland, ensuring consistent consumer experiences in all participating countries.
