L’Oréal Paris’ UAE team aimed to create a solution that would simplify the skincare selection process for consumers. Using that goal, USP Solutions developed a tool to help customers identify the most suitable combination of clay masks, sugar scrubs, and hydration products for their specific skin types.
The goal was to create an easy-to-use, accurate tool that could guide consumers toward the best product regimen for their unique skin concerns. Designed for flexibility, the tool could be used independently or with the assistance of a beauty advisor.
The team introduced an interactive Skin Type Tester that engaged consumers directly at POS locations. The test involved a simple two-step process:
Remove: Consumers use a skin test strip to sample skin from various facial zones (T-Zone, chin, cheek) and assess their skin texture.
Match: The strip is then matched to pre-determined skin patterns, categorizing the consumer’s skin type into oily, normal, rough & dull, blackheads, or uneven skin.
This would help them to find the most suitable product recommendations like Pure Clay masks and Sugar Scrubs.
This practical, consumer-friendly approach not only improved product engagement but also helped L’Oréal strengthen customer satisfaction and increase sales by providing personalized skincare solutions across the UAE market.
