Belcorp was looking for a sales support tool that would enable and support their salesforce to consult and educate their consumers, thus guiding clients to the best product match for their skin.
One of the major requirements they had for a sales support tool was that it would be able to allow consultants to easily evaluate their clients’ skin within seconds. Furthermore, the tool had to be reliable, establishing their consultants as skin experts.
The challenge for USP Solutions was to translate Belcorp’s needs to a sales support tool that enabled consultants to easily perform a reliable skin analysis. Based on this evaluation, the consultant would then be able to recommend the best matching cosmetic product(s).
The experts at USP Solutions also worked intensely on ensuring the right size and shape of the sales support tool. This way Belcorp consultants could perform several analyses per card.
USP Solutions developed initial concepts, which were sent to the L’BEL marketing team for review. Once it was decided how the haptic tester experience could be implemented, USP took complete responsibility, handling everything from artwork implementation to printing and on-time delivery.
The Skin Type Test reacts to sebum on the skin, allowing the consumer to determine within just seconds whether he or she has dry, normal, combination or oily skin.
How it works:
– The consultant presses the skin type test on the forehead for 3-5 seconds.
– Alternatively or additionally he/she presses another skin type test on any other parts of the face to be tested (details see L’BEL brochure).
